Description
CAN Lite Carbon Filter 3000m³/hr – 1m – 315mm (12″)
High-Capacity Odour Control for Large Ventilation Systems
The CAN Lite Carbon Filter 3000m³/hr – 1m – 315mm (12″) is a lightweight, high-performance odour filtration solution designed for large grow rooms and high-airflow ventilation systems. Manufactured by Can Filters, this model uses high-quality activated carbon to effectively remove unwanted odours from extracted air, helping maintain a clean and discreet growing environment.
With a maximum airflow capacity of 3000m³ per hour, this filter is suitable for powerful extraction setups using 315mm (12″) inline fans. Despite its large capacity, the CAN Lite range is designed to be significantly lighter than traditional carbon filters, making installation easier while still maintaining reliable filtration performance.
The 1 metre long filter body provides a large carbon bed surface area, allowing air to pass through the carbon evenly for efficient odour neutralisation. The lightweight design is achieved through a carefully engineered housing and carbon blend that maintains effective filtration without the excessive weight associated with traditional steel-bodied filters.

How to use
How to Use the Product & Best Usage Recommendations
Installation
The carbon filter is typically installed inside the grow room and connected directly to your extraction fan using 315mm (12″) ducting. In most setups, the filter is mounted at the highest point in the room or grow tent, where warm air naturally rises.
The airflow direction should follow this order:
Carbon Filter → Inline Fan → Ducting → Exhaust outlet
This setup ensures that all extracted air is passed through the activated carbon before leaving the space.
Best Usage Practices
Match the filter with a fan rated close to the 3000m³/h airflow capacity for optimal performance
Always keep the pre-filter sleeve clean, as it prevents dust and debris from clogging the carbon
Replace or wash the pre-filter periodically to maintain airflow efficiency
Ensure airtight duct connections using clamps or aluminium tape to prevent odour leaks
Avoid exposing the filter to excessive humidity or water
Maintenance & Lifespan
The lifespan of the carbon depends on environmental factors such as humidity, airflow load, and contaminant levels. Under typical indoor growing conditions, the carbon filter may remain effective for approximately 12–18 months before replacement is recommended.
