Description
High-Capacity Lightweight Carbon Filter for Large Grow Ventilation Systems
The CAN Lite Carbon Filter 3500m³/hr – 1m – 355mm (14″) is a high-performance air filtration solution designed to remove odours and airborne contaminants from large indoor grow environments. Built using the trusted filtration technology developed by Can Filters, this model combines powerful odour control with a lighter construction compared to traditional steel carbon filters.
With a maximum airflow rating of 3500m³ per hour, this filter is suitable for large-scale grow rooms, commercial cultivation facilities, or high-capacity extraction systems. The 355mm (14″) flange allows direct connection to compatible high-output inline fans, ensuring efficient air movement through the carbon bed for reliable odour removal.
CAN Lite filters use a high-quality activated carbon blend that traps odour particles as air passes through the filter. This process neutralises smells before the air is exhausted from the grow space, helping maintain a discreet and controlled environment.
Compared to heavier filters, the Lite series features a lightweight design, making installation easier while still delivering dependable filtration performance.

How to use
How to Use the Product & Best Usage Recommendations
Installation
Install the carbon filter within your extraction system by connecting the 355mm flange directly to compatible ducting or an inline extraction fan using appropriate clamps or connectors. For optimal performance, the filter is typically installed inside the grow space so that air is pulled through the carbon before being extracted.
The most common setup is:
Carbon Filter → Inline Fan → Ducting → Exhaust
This configuration ensures that all extracted air passes through the activated carbon, removing odours before air leaves the environment.
Best Usage Practices
Match the filter with an extraction fan that does not exceed 3500m³/h airflow for optimal filtration efficiency.
Keep the pre-filter sleeve clean, as it captures dust and prevents the carbon from clogging prematurely.
Replace or wash the pre-filter periodically to maintain airflow.
Position the filter securely using hanging straps or mounting brackets to reduce vibration and strain on ducting connections.
Maintenance
Carbon filters typically last 12–18 months depending on humidity levels, airflow rate, and environmental conditions. Maintaining proper humidity levels and cleaning the pre-filter regularly will help extend the operational lifespan of the carbon bed.
This model is particularly suitable for large grow tents, commercial grow rooms, and high-output ventilation systems where reliable odour control and strong airflow are required.
